Assistant Chef

osition Overview:
RawWay Staffing is seeking skilled and motivated Assistant Chefs to support culinary operations across a variety of hospitality and food service environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with head chefs and kitchen teams to ensure high-quality food preparation, kitchen efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes
• Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes during service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment
• Receive and store food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal preparation
• Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or culinary setting preferred
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Culinary training or certification is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable working in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments
