Day to Day Operations Management
•    Assisting colleagues with opening and closing procedures
•    Visit tables and advise guests on wine choice and pairing.
•    Assisting with non-service duties, including cellar maintenance, monthly stock taking and ensuring correctness of the wine list.
•    Maintaining and developing knowledge of our wine list
•    Developing the knowledge of the team
•    Ensuring all standards and practices and upheld to the highest levels.
•    Developing your own deeper understanding of wines, spirits, and other drinks from around the world
•    Assist in other job roles as directed. This may include training new employees, helping with guest service, working on special projects, or filling in for absent managers.
To succeed as our Sommelier at Atlantis you will need:
•    Guest service: A sommelier must do their part to ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience. This includes serving drinks correctly and in a timely fashion, with guest preferences and budget considered.
•    Interpersonal communication: A sommelier must communicate effectively with guests and staff alike. This includes listening to feedback from guests and addressing any concerns they may have.
•    Teamwork: A sommelier must work well with others to achieve common goals. This includes working with chefs to create wine pairings with menus and coordinating with servers to ensure that drinks are served at the appropriate time.
•    Problem-solving: A sommelier must be able to solve problems that arise in the restaurant quickly and efficiently. This includes addressing issues such as equipment breakdowns and guest complaints.


Customer Service Primary Responsibilities
•    Always displays the highest standards of customer service, welcoming customers in a polite, gracious, and enthusiastic manner; paying attention at all times; meeting their needs. 
•    Responds quickly and positively to guests’ questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolves them effectively, consistently.
•    Maintains overall knowledge of the resort and provides proactive assistance to customers when appropriate using clear and concise conversation.
•    Always smile and engage our guests first, using their name when appropriate and always maintaining eye contact.
•    Always demonstrates departmental knowledge and efficiency.
•    Stays well groomed, looking professional, clean, and appropriately fitted in compliance with the company’s standards.
