Position
Summary: The Treasury
Assistant manages cash management functions, assists with corporate financial
tasks, and monitors the mortgage schedule.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determines
daily operating cash needs and works with banks for investment or borrowing.
- Assists in
corporate cash management, including fund transfers, electronic payments, and
determining borrowing needs.
- Acts as a
liaison between the organization and financial institutions on bank accounts.
- Prepares
daily and long-range cash flow spreadsheets.
- Monitors and
updates bank account signatory lists and reviews analysis statements.
- Maintains
and oversees databases used in Cash Management and Treasury.
- Assists with
other projects in Cash Management, Treasury, and Finance.
- Helps
implement new technology for process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
(preferred but not required).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial
statements, and investment analysis related to Treasury functions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, a detail-oriented
mindset, and a sense of urgency.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work extended hours.
Experience
Required:
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in Corporate
Treasury.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures like accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger posting.
