Description

Contributes to the proper functioning of the establishment's technical installations and to the maintenance of the premises.

Answers all telephone calls and carries out any urgent intervention within his field of competence. If he is unable to intervene himself, he shall take all measures to eliminate any danger and alert the competent persons.

Anticipates equipment breakdowns or malfunctions through daily maintenance. Proposes improvements to its manager in order to optimize the maintenance plan.

Ensures the permanence (day or night) assigned to him.

Helps his colleagues with specific tasks outside his specialty.

Repairs all defective pieces of equipment as soon as possible.

Reports on his activities through the "permanence book" or the "daily work sheet".

Ensures optimum performance by strictly following the procedures defined in the Technical Services Manual.

Ensures the guests’ best comfort in the room: general condition of the room and the equipment provided.

Ensures the constant maintenance of customer premises by seeking efficiency and aesthetics.

Has a perfect knowledge of the hotel offer in general, in order to be able to respond and train all employees and improve customer service.

Keeps informed of all events taking place inside and outside the hotel (fairs, conventions, meetings, exhibitions, etc.) and ensures that all employees are duly informed.

Builds and maintains effective relationships with the other departments.

Conveys the right values and the good behaviors in his service as well as towards his colleagues and his hierarchy.

Informs the Management Team of any incident or problem that occurs during work hours, particularly those he is not able to solve or whose importance justifies it, whether it concerns work-related issues or employee-related problems.

Applies procedures and policies within the hotel and all new procedures according to the management orders and submits new propositions to the Management in order to improve the department efficiency.

Applies the internal procedures in terms of health, hygiene and safety.

Applies and enforces environmental good practices in his department, particularly as part of the Green Globe certification (waste sorting, black & white printing, paperless meeting, etc.).

May exceptionally perform other duties at the request of his hierarchy.

 

PROFIL : 

Higher education in Maintenance. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a hotel of the same category and capacity (4- to 5- star hotel, +200 rooms). Knowledge in the various maintenance areas (electricity, air conditioning/heating, plumbing, painting, wallpaper, carpentry, telephone, etc.). Solid knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills. An electrical certification is a strong asset.

Fluent in English and French, at a C1 level minimum. Mastering a third foreign language of one of our target markets (Germany, China, India, Italy, Middle East, Netherlands, Russia) is highly desirable.
