Job Description

Constance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in the Seychelles, is seeking a talented and dedicated Staff Canteen Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the staff canteen kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation for our valued team members.

  • Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned section of the staff canteen kitchen
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to menu specifications and portion controls
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in your section
  • Assist in menu planning and development, considering nutritional value and dietary requirements
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in your section
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Collaborate with other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service
  • Participate in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Adapt menus and preparations to accommodate various dietary needs and allergens
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and organisation of the staff canteen kitchen

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognised institution
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a 5-star establishment
  • Strong culinary expertise and knowledge of various cuisines
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with valid certification
  • Effective team coordination and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen equipment operation
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French or Creole is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours
