A friendly elderly gentleman in a Residential Aged Care Home in Austral is hoping to find a cheerful buddy to visit him regularly. Once a talented pastry chef, he has wonderful stories to tell, a love for bingo, and a real appreciation for warm company.<\/b>

Your time, your presence, and a few shared smiles could bring so much joy to his week. <\/b>

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
<\/div>

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit Monday to Sunday between 9am and 5pm visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
