Senior Buyer for Dining & Kitchen
Vatatree ConsultingA Senior Buyer for Dining & Kitchen is responsible for leading procurement and sourcing strategies for all Dining & Serveware categories. In this position you will be expected to device sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships (negotiating price, quality, delivery), analyzes market trends for cost savings, competition benchmarking, ensures supply chain efficiency & inventory management, collaborates with internal teams (Design, Marketing, Sales), and drives value through innovation, focusing on cost, cash, quality, and service for the Indian market.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans, optimizing cost, product quality, timely delivery, and product innovation
· Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors.
· Study market trends, competition pricing, and quality of products to ensure the best value for the organization.
· Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
· Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory at all the time, closely work with operations team to prevent shortages or QC rejections.
· Ensure timely processing of purchase orders and contract renewals.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
· Proven track record of cost savings and process improvement initiatives.
· Experience in vendor management and supplier relationship management.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
