About the Role 

​​​​​The Diner Room Chef is responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes served in the dining area. They ensure that each plate meets the restaurant's high standards for quality and presentation, working closely with the front-of-house team to maintain a seamless dining experience. The chef manages kitchen staff, coordinates meal timing, and ensures that all food is served at the perfect temperature, contributing to a memorable and refined guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and delivery of all food items for fine dining outlet(s).
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and coordinate the menu and food offerings for Jersey Joe's Diner.
  • Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, leading, motivating, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining team members.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and service in all kitchen areas, with a focus on similar outlets
  • Oversee menu planning, menu engineering, cost analysis, operational evaluations, and the execution of company directives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a casino outlet chef role
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of diner cuisine
  • Ability to develop menus with market lists
