THE OPPORTUNITY: MANAGER
As the Manager of Cantina del Rio, you’re in the driver’s seat — running daily operations, developing your team, maintaining high standards, and creating memorable experiences for every guest. You lead with heart and hustle, balancing service, safety, quality, and fun in every shift.
What You'll Do

Lead the Team: Hire, train, schedule, coach, and hold team members accountable with clear expectations and empathy.

Deliver Great Guest Experiences: Be present on the floor, address concerns with urgency, and ensure guests feel welcomed and cared for.

Support Kitchen & Bar: Assist with line checks, prep, and food execution to maintain speed, quality, and cleanliness.

Manage Inventory: Oversee food and bar ordering, inventory accuracy, and cost controls.

Ensure Compliance: Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, labor laws, and responsible alcohol service practices.

Promote a Positive Culture: Foster a safe, fun, and collaborative environment built on trust and performance.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with HR, safety, training, and operations teams to support the success of your location.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of restaurant experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
- Working knowledge of POS systems (Aloha preferred), scheduling tools, and Restaurant365 (preferred)
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing hourly team members
- Experience with inventory control and back-of-house kitchen operations
- Current Food Handler, Food Manager, and TABC certifications
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local restaurant compliance requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to work a flexible 50–55-hour schedule, including weekends, holidays, and mixed shifts
