ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivers outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming and engaging with diners, ensuring their needs are met during their dining experience.
- Resolves customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Creates a welcoming and cozy atmosphere in the dining area.
- Recruits, trains, and manages staff, which includes servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, sommeliers, and bussers.
- Develops and executes training programs to enhance staff knowledge and service skills.
- Schedules and assigns tasks to staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Conducts regular performance assessments and offers feedback to support growth and development.
- Supervises the daily operations of the dining room including seating arrangements, reservations, and table turnovers.
- Ensures collaboration between dining room, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure timely and coordinated service delivery.
- Manages the inventory of supplies, including utensils, glassware, linens, beverage inventory, and food inventory. Makes arrangements for replenishments as needed.
- Upholds high standards of food quality, presentation, and service consistency, addressing any issues with guests’ orders.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations including food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Performs regular inspections of the dining area to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
- Enforces adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Develops strategies to attract and retain customers, such as through special promotions, events, or loyalty programs.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed or requested.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service techniques, menu items, and wine pairing.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, including effective multitasking and prioritization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) or more years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant industry, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$80,000+ annually based on expereince
