ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Delivers outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming and engaging with diners, ensuring their needs are met during their dining experience.
  2. Resolves customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  3. Creates a welcoming and cozy atmosphere in the dining area. 
  4. Recruits, trains, and manages staff, which includes servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, sommeliers, and bussers. 
  5. Develops and executes training programs to enhance staff knowledge and service skills. 
  6. Schedules and assigns tasks to staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  7. Conducts regular performance assessments and offers feedback to support growth and development. 
  8. Supervises the daily operations of the dining room including seating arrangements, reservations, and table turnovers. 
  9. Ensures collaboration between dining room, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure timely and coordinated service delivery. 
  10. Manages the inventory of supplies, including utensils, glassware, linens, beverage inventory, and food inventory. Makes arrangements for replenishments as needed. 
  11. Upholds high standards of food quality, presentation, and service consistency, addressing any issues with guests’ orders.
  12. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations including food handling and sanitation procedures. 
  13. Performs regular inspections of the dining area to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
  14. Enforces adherence to company policies and procedures. 
  15. Develops strategies to attract and retain customers, such as through special promotions, events, or loyalty programs. 
  16. Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
  17. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed or requested. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service techniques, menu items, and wine pairing.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards. 
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, including effective multitasking and prioritization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • One (1) or more years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant industry, preferably in a fine dining restaurant. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$80,000+ annually based on expereince
