Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our "Beach Side Cafe" at Grand Seas Resort, delivering exceptional service and a warm, welcoming dining experience to our guests.

Food and Beverage Manager 

Full Time

55-58k 

Hours of operation of Restaurant: 7:00am - 3:00pm 

Job Summary:

The Food and Beverage Manager will report to the Food and Beverage Director.  The purpose of the F&B Manager is to do the effective and efficient management and delivery of all food and beverage operations, with aim that they provide the highest level of customer service, are cost-effective, and meet budgeted targets.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To promote a customer-focused culture by example and by encouraging in-house training of all team members through an agreed training plan
  • To ensure the use of current Standard Operation Procedures by all team members within the department
  • To ensure the effective management, motivation, training, and development of all team members employed
  • To ensure facilities comply with all relevant legislation relating to health and safety, food hygiene regulations, and licensing legislation
  • Promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally secure environment
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory requirements relating to the work of the department
  • Assist in the effective and efficient management and delivery of all Food and Beverage
  • Act as a team leader within the food and beverage operation

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years combined food & beverage supervisory/management experience
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be flexible with roles to include interaction with food & beverage customers and other guests where required
  • Maintain good rapport with suppliers and sales representatives from various partners
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Supervision and direction of line cooks, F&B attendants, cashiers, and bartenders
  • Must have a neat appearance and be well-groomed

 

Physical Limitations and Demands:

  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Constant standing with some walking
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50lbs
  • Continue use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
