Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a creative and passionate Pastry Chef / CDP to join our clients culinary team at a luxury boutique hotel in Simon’s Town. Prepare and present exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standards.
Support the hot and cold kitchen sections as required (CDP duties).
Maintain consistency in quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes.
Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in line with HACCP standards.
Contribute innovative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and mentoring junior team members.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or CDP within a fine dining or boutique hotel environment.
A formal culinary qualification is advantageous.
Demonstrated pastry and dessert skills, with a strong eye for detail and presentation.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
A team-oriented attitude, with a passion for excellence and hospitality.
Willingness to relocate or commute to Simon’s Town.
