Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a creative and passionate Pastry Chef / CDP to join our clients culinary team at a luxury boutique hotel in Simon’s Town. This is a wonderful opportunity to express your artistry through desserts and pastries while contributing to a world-class dining experience.
  • Prepare and present exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standards.
  • Support the hot and cold kitchen sections as required (CDP duties).
  • Maintain consistency in quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in line with HACCP standards.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and mentoring junior team members.



Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or CDP within a fine dining or boutique hotel environment.
  • A formal culinary qualification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated pastry and dessert skills, with a strong eye for detail and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
  • A team-oriented attitude, with a passion for excellence and hospitality.
  • Willingness to relocate or commute to Simon’s Town.
