We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef/Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has a deep love for baking, a creative eye for presentation, and a commitment to quality. You’ll be responsible for producing a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts from scratch, maintaining high standards of consistency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and specialty desserts
- Develop and execute seasonal and custom pastry offerings
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of all baked items
- Manage ingredient inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams for special events and catering
- Stay current with industry trends and bring new ideas to the menu
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef, baker, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and flavor pairings
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is a plus, but not required
