This role is ideal for a pastry professional who finds joy in the details—someone who understands that the first bite of the day sets the tone for the entire guest experience.

The Pastry Chef will lead all morning baking and pastry production, crafting fresh breakfast offerings, light baked goods, and elegant desserts with a focus on seasonal, health-conscious ingredients. Early mornings are essential, and a calm, self-directed presence is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily breakfast pastries, breads, and wellness-forward baked goods from scratch
  • Collaborate on menus that are elegant, nourishing, and reflect seasonal ingredients
  • Maintain high standards of flavor, presentation, and consistency in all pastry offerings
  • Support the setup and visual presentation of morning food displays
  • Assist in the creation of desserts or sweet offerings for lunch, dinner, and occasional events
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry area, equipment, and prep spaces
  • Manage inventory of pastry-specific items and support ingredient sourcing as needed
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to align with broader culinary goals

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional pastry experience in a fine dining, private home, or luxury hospitality setting
  • Deep knowledge of baking techniques, breakfast service, and wellness-forward pastry alternatives (gluten-free, low sugar, etc.)
  • Creativity and precision in both flavor and plating
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work early morning hours with minimal supervision
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and care in a private residential environment
  • Culinary or pastry school training preferred
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification

Shifts & Availability:
This position requires early morning availability, generally beginning around 4:00 AM. Some weekend and holiday availability may be needed based on guest stays or events.
