Job Purpose: Lead - Design is responsible for shaping and executing the architectural vision for airport projects. This role focuses on creating innovative, sustainable, and functional urban spaces that align with the airport’s strategic goals. Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, master planning, technical oversight, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with environmental and industry standards.

Purpose:

Adani Airport City is developing Mixed Use Real Estate Airport Cities including Retail, Office, Hotels, Convention Centre and Arena across various cities – Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati spanning over 22 Mn. Sft in the initial Phases

The Lead Design Management & Approvals Architect will play a pivotal role in leading architectural design initiatives for real estate and hospitality projects. The candidate must have approvals experience. The position requires a Bachelor of Architecture and preferably a Master of Architecture from a reputed institute and a proven track record in conceptualizing and overseeing mixed-use developments, business parks, and retail spaces. The ideal candidate will have 15-18 years of experience and possess exceptional skills in architectural design for hospitality-led projects. This position will report to Head – Design Functionally and Project Development Head Administratively.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee architectural design initiatives for mixed-use developments, business parks, arena, convention centres and retail spaces.
• Lead the design approvals process for the respective asset across all stages of development, overseeing the process and performance of any appointed statutory consultants.
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities to obtain all necessary statutory approvals for project execution
• Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) for design consultants and vendors. 
• Oversee preparation and review of GFC drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize design solutions without compromising quality or functionality
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of design concepts.
• Implement and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for design coordination and clash detection
• Provide strategic guidance and innovative design solutions – in terms of current and future trends in Arena and Retail Design to enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of projects.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, building codes, and sustainability principles in all design activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior architects to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Conduct regular site visits and participate in project meetings to monitor progress and address any design-related challenges.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies to optimize project outcomes.

Experience:

• 15-18 years of experience in architectural design for real estate, convention Or Arena projects.
• Proven track record in leading full-cycle projects from concept development to on-site completion.
• Experience in regulatory & statutory design-related approvals

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor of Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Preferred: M. Arch from reputed institutes such as CEPT University and School of Planning & Architecture (SPA).

Certification Required:

No specific certifications required, but relevant certifications in architectural design are advantageous.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Comprehensive understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and sustainable design practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing architectural concepts for hospitality-led projects.

Non-Negotiable Skills:

• Architectural Design for real estate mixed-use development
• Multipurpose Arena, Convention Center and Retail design experience
• At least one full cycle of experience from concept development to on-site completion
