Job Overview

The Hotel Receptionist at StayBird will be a mid-level, full-time position located in the Pune Division. This role is crucial to ensuring guest satisfaction as it involves managing front desk operations, facilitating check-in and check-out procedures, and handling reservations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and possess strong multitasking and customer service skills.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to efficiently manage data, inventories, and customer information without errors.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to handle diverse tasks simultaneously and ensure smooth operation of the front desk.
  • Experience in room inventory management for optimized booking and ensuring availability aligns with demand.
  • Capability to perform night audit functions ensuring accuracy in daily financial reconciliations and reports.
  • Proven upselling techniques to enhance guest experience while increasing hotel's revenue through strategic offerings.
  • Thorough understanding of check-in/check-out procedures to ensure seamless guest transition and maintain accuracy.
  • Proficient in using reservation systems to manage bookings efficiently and cater to guest needs promptly.
  • Experience in front desk operations ensuring all aspects of guest interactions are handled with professionalism and care.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly check-in experience.
  • Efficiently manage guest bookings and cancellations using the reservation system.
  • Perform daily night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Handle guest inquiries and provide information regarding hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Manage room inventory and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely room availability.
  • Upsell hotel services and amenities to guests to enhance their stay experience and increase revenue.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or issues, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Ensure front desk operations comply with safety and security regulations as outlined by the hotel policies.
