Hospitality Spotlight is working with a luxury client in the central coast of California and we are looking for a hotel Banquet Chef.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

The<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span> Work:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

  • Oversee day\-to\-day hotel kitchen staff <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Menu development<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Uphold plating and portioning standards
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Plan for event staffing needs
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Order ingredients and maintain kitchen inventory
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Enforce proper SSOP (sanitation standard operating procedures)
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Resolve problems and communicate to ensure consistency and memorable guest service<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Promote a positive work environment while mentoring the team<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Plus additional duties as required<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/p><\/li> <\/ul>

     <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p>

    What you've already done (requirements):<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p>

    • Minimum of 5+ years as a Banquet Chef at a high end\/luxury hotel<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Understands and interprets hotel financial reports; generates, and analyzes budgets and labor reports.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Has a passion for hospitality, demonstrated by a progressive hotel career.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Working knowledge and passion for wine, spirits and cocktail trends<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Previous experience working with both brand and independent\/boutique hotel banquets preferred<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong “Can Do” attitude<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Luxury hotel experience required<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Degree in culinary arts strongly preferred<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Must possess a track record of successful leadership and have the ability to teach and mentor the team<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Developed interpersonal, adaptive influencing and supervisory management skills<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Team player and analytical with the ability to multitask<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Excellence in business ethics and integrity<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
