Medirest provides specialist food, hospitality and support services to residents and patients in hospitals and senior living facilities. We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced and compassionate Chef Manager to join our Medirest team in based in beautiful Brighton.

The role will see you manage client relationships, whilst ensuring our contractual obligations are met with absolute efficiency.  

The successful candidate will be service-centric and truly believe that going the extra mile isn't the exception, it's the expectation. As the Chef Manager you will oversee and support a team of site-based employees using your hands-on management style to motivate your team with passion and enthusiasm, uniting your team to achieve the goal and exceed client and residents’ expectations.

THE POSITION

• Overseeing a small and hard-working team to deliver excellent service standards
• Ensuring that allergens and dietary requirements are uncompromising
• Providing a visible presence within the facility
• Controlling stock, wastage and labour
• Training and mentoring junior staff

THE PERSON

• Previous experience within an aged care or healthcare setting would be ideal
• A kind and compassionate nature
• Strong allergen & dietary awareness
• Experience with texture modification
• A hands-on leader
