Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and managing kitchen staff efficiently. The Head Chef should have a passion for cooking, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to innovate and maintain consistency in food quality. Key Responsibilities:  Plan and design menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.  Oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence.  Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.  Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.  Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering of ingredients and kitchen supplies.  Control food costs by minimizing waste and optimizing ingredient usage.  Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.  Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.  Supervise food plating and presentation to meet restaurant standards.  Stay updated with culinary trends and bring innovation to the menu.

Requirements

Requirements:  Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a reputed establishment.  Strong leadership and team management skills.  In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations.  Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.  Experience in a central kitchen environment.  Baking experience with a strong understanding of pastry and bread-making techniques.  Catering experience, including large-scale meal preparation and event planning.  Fresh food experience from the retail industry, ensuring high-quality ingredient selection and preparation.
