Key Responsibilities 1. Guest Service & Experience
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally in line with Holiday Inn Express brand standards.
  • Ensure guests feel welcome, comfortable, and attended to at all times.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, feedback, and concerns.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout duty hours.
2. Food & Beverage Service Operations
  • Set up, replenish, and maintain the breakfast area / restaurant / bar as per hotel standards.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, following correct service sequence and hygiene practices.
  • Monitor food presentation, temperature, and quality during service.
  • Clear tables promptly and ensure continuous cleanliness of the dining area.
3. Breakfast Service (Holiday Inn Express Focus)
  • Assist in preparing and presenting the Express Startâ„¢ Breakfast as per IHG guidelines.
  • Ensure breakfast items are replenished regularly and displayed attractively.
  • Follow food safety and handling procedures during preparation and service.
  • Close the breakfast area efficiently after service, ensuring proper cleaning and storage.
4. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP/FSSAI, as applicable).
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas, equipment, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and fire safety regulations at all times.
  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
5. Cash Handling & Billing (if applicable)
  • Operate the POS system accurately for billing and settlements.
  • Handle cash, card payments, and vouchers responsibly.
  • Ensure bills are presented correctly and payments are processed as per SOP.
  • Follow hotel policies for cash handling and shift closure.
6. Teamwork & Communication
  • Coordinate effectively with kitchen, housekeeping, and front office teams.
  • Attend daily briefings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Support colleagues during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate guest feedback and operational issues to the supervisor.
7. Brand Standards & Training
  • Follow all IHG and Holiday Inn Express brand standards and SOPs.
  • Participate in mandatory training programs and brand initiatives.
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards at all times.
