Group IT Cloud & Hosting Specialist

This role is a technical specialist with deep infrastructure expertise of both on prem
and cloud architecture including migration strategies. You will ensure the seamless
operation, security, and scalability of cloud environments while optimizing
performance and cost-efficiency. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional
teams to deliver innovative solutions, define standards, drive cloud adoption, and
maintain compliance with industry standards and best practices. You will be able to
influence long term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor to the business.

• Design, deploy and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure,
considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, cost and
performance.
• Lead the organisation in exploiting technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to
drive change and support business process assisting with the integration and initial
implementation of solutions including testing and assurance.
• Identify and document any risks, issues or critical success factors that may require
immediate or eventual remediation action.
• Maintain and promote use of appropriate design standards and development
methodologies within the team and wider business.
• Create effective and efficient control patterns, conduct risk evaluations and uphold
policies and standards to enable the enterprise to conduct business at an
appropriate and known risk level.
• Ensure capabilities are reviewed and compliant within defined risk levels while
considering hardware/software currency, performance/availability, security and
information/transaction integrity.
• Taking ownership for and providing specialist design support relating to your
technology portfolio (Microsoft services)
• Estimate cost and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure,
development and support.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise system reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure with business goals.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud platform with emphasis on Azure
Infrastructure solutions including IaaS and PaaS based environments, and Azure based
application management and governance.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualisation and server management.
• In depth experience with operating systems.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences as
well as experience of working with board level stakeholders.
• Experience leading large cloud engagements, especially those involving Infrastructure
migration and application modernization projects
• Excellent Knowledge of enterprise software solutions and cloud and datacentre
infrastructure.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities

• Trusted advisor and influencer in shaping business decisions and adoption of
Cloud and Infrastructure solutions.
• Lead technical sessions making use of whiteboards or other resources to drive
solution discussions leveraging published solution architectures for common
infrastructure.
• Knowledge of working within ITIL, PRINCE and, ideally, ISO270001 environments.
• Results driven with the ability to deliver solutions that promote organisational
benefit.
• Strategic business acumen and understanding of organisations strategy and
ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy.
• Demonstrable experience of taking ownership of a project and leading a team
through the design and implementation of that project
• Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure
successful delivery of solutions
• Good awareness of Spirax Sarco business model, processes and people through
engagement with the business across all functions
