Description
As Finance Manager, you will support the Director of Finance in managing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and IHG standards. You will help translate financial data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the hotel.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Supporting the Director of Finance in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Managing, coaching, and developing finance colleagues to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and proper task allocation
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, audits, tax filings, and internal policies
- Monitoring costs, revenues, and cash flow to help maximize profitability
- Working closely with operational departments to support inventory controls, purchasing, payroll, and financial dispute resolution
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes and responding to audit requirements
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in hotel accounting, finance, or auditing, with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Cost Control
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and government/statutory reporting
- Professional accounting or finance certification is an advantage
- Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Must speak local language(s); additional languages are an advantage
