How You Will Make an Impact:
The Executive Chef oversees one of our corporate café locations in the Innsbrook/Short Pump area and plays a key role in overseeing all aspects of daily kitchen operations, ensuring the proper preparation, execution, and presentation of all food items. Primary responsibilities include managing inventory, placing food orders, creating menus, and overseeing execution and plating to ensure quality and consistency. Some responsibilities of this position include:
Culinary Operations-
- Develop menus, both ongoing and rotating.
- Prepare and cook food of all types for standard menus as well as special guests or functions.
- Check the quality of ingredients and prepared food and beverage products to ensure that standards are met.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure performance and safety to established standards.
- Record production and operational data and take ownership of inventory management.
- Assist in food costing and specification of recipes and procedures.
Personnel Management-
- Instruct and supervise Line Cooks in the preparation, cooking, and garnishing of food and beverage.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment to staff.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of the schedule in accordance with budgeted labor costs.
- Investigate and document any incidents, accidents, and disciplinary actions; conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of culinary experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a culinary environment
- Advanced culinary skills
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- Working professional knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Database management skills
