Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Demi Chef to join our culinary team at Coco’s Kitchen + Bar. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair, a strong passion for baking, relevant experience, and a solid understanding of food safety practices. If you’re a team player with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
  • Design seasonal and innovative dessert menus.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualifications and previous experience in the hotel industry preferred.
  • Extensive pastry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety requirements.
  • Service-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond effectively to change.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
