Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis-II with specialization in Bakery & Confectionery to join our Food & Beverage production team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of baked goods, desserts, and confections under the guidance of senior chefs and contribute to maintaining hygiene, consistency, and quality in our residential kitchen setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily preparation of bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts.

  • Follow standard recipes and plating techniques as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

  • Maintain proper storage and inventory of baking supplies and ingredients.

  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery workstation at all times.

  • Support senior chefs in mise en place, portioning, and food presentation.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards as per school policies.

  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment catering to large numbers in a residential setting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate in Bakery & Confectionery / Culinary Arts from a recognized institute.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in bakery and dessert production (institutional or hotel setup preferred).

  • Knowledge of basic bakery techniques, oven operations, and dessert finishing.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain a high standard of food quality.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per the duty roster.
