Chief Engineer – Navera Phuket – MGallery Collection
Be part of the opening leadership team of Navera Phuket – MGallery Collection, an upper-upscale boutique resort featuring 48 private villas, three signature dining venues, and thoughtfully designed wellness and leisure facilities, located on a 16.2-acre property in Phuket.
As Chief Engineer, you will oversee the efficient operation, safety, and maintenance of all resort technical systems — ensuring superior functionality and comfort across villas, public areas, back-of-house, and guest facilities. You will lead the Engineering team, manage preventive maintenance programs, and ensure full compliance with Accor Engineering standards, Thai regulations, and sustainability commitments.
You will play a critical role in the pre-opening phase, ensuring all building systems are fully operational, documented, and ready to support a flawless opening experience.

You will be responsible for
Engineering & Maintenance Operations
Oversee all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, pool systems, and building infrastructure across villas and resort facilities
Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical systems including fire safety, water treatment, generators, and elevators
Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and enhance guest experience
Monitor and optimize energy, water, and utility consumption aligned with sustainability targets
Supervise daily repair and maintenance requests from all departments
Team Leadership & Safety Compliance
Recruit, train, coach, and manage the Engineering team and external contractors
Conduct regular inspections to ensure full compliance with Thai safety, fire, and environmental regulations
Implement, update, and communicate emergency and fire safety procedures in collaboration with management
Maintain accurate technical logs, maintenance records, and all statutory documents and certificates
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
Coordinate closely with developers, consultants, and contractors to ensure all systems meet Accor and MGallery brand standards
Participate in snagging, testing, and commissioning of all building and villa systems
Develop SOPs, preventive maintenance plans, and operational workflows for all technical areas
Prepare equipment inventories, asset registers, and supplier/service contracts
Support installation and configuration of energy management systems and CMMS/maintenance software
Budgeting & Administration
Prepare and manage annual engineering operating budgets and CapEx plans
Oversee procurement of technical materials and ensure cost-efficient maintenance operations
Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and government authorities
Ensure compliance with Accor sustainability reporting and environmental requirements
University or technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering
Strong expertise in MEP systems, fire safety regulations, and Thai building standards
Experience in pre-opening or major renovation projects is a strong advantage
Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong ability to manage budgets, technical documentation, and maintenance systems
Hands-on, organized, service-minded, and safety-focused
Good command of English; Thai language is an advantage
