Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Concierge to join our prestigious hotel in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As the leader of our concierge team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests receive world-class service and unforgettable experiences during their stay.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the concierge department, ensuring the highest standards of guest service are consistently met
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the concierge team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, attractions, and service providers to secure the best experiences for our guests
  • Handle VIP guests and special requests with utmost care and attention to detail
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences throughout their stay
  • Manage the daily roster and performance of all concierge team members
  • Implement innovative ideas to enhance guest services and promote the hotel's facilities and products
  • Stay informed about local events, attractions, and hospitality trends to provide up-to-date recommendations to guests
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to the overall strategic planning of the hotel
  • Manage departmental budgets and cost control measures effectively
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in a management role within a luxury hotel's concierge department
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Exceptional communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language is highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of concierge operations and front office procedures
  • Extensive familiarity with Phu Quoc and surrounding areas, including local attractions, restaurants, and services
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a talent for handling challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
  • Proficiency in using property management systems and other relevant computer applications
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • A warm, friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese culture and customs would be advantageous
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications are preferred
