Job Description

What you will do:

immediate start available!  You will work closely alongside the, Park Manager and the Group Food and Beverage Manager to represent the core values of the NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness and guest experience.  Our very own cafe is located onsite at NRMA Airlie Beach Holiday Park.

This is a casual position and will have oversight of a Cook also.  The Café's Trading Hours are Thurs – Mon 6:30am – 10:30am & Thurs – Sun 3:30pm – 8:30pm, but your hours rostered will not reflect split shifts. Ideally you would have experience as a Chef, Commis or Demi position previously.  

You will:

  • Ensure all aspects of food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes are according to company guidelines and customer preferences
  • Liaise with, food service staff and management regarding customers order and general service of kitchen operations
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements
  • Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries and recording assessment where necessary
  • Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting all kitchen areas in accordance with daily cleaning

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or club kitchen
  • Certificate in commercial cookery 
  • A working understanding of 'Food Safety' principles and workplace health and safety
  • Possess highly effective verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Happy to work as part of a team and chip in to get to get the job done right!
