We’re looking for a Chef Manager who can not only deliver outstanding food but also take ownership of the overall performance and culture of a small village of 80 residents.

Your Role:

As the Chef Manager, you will be the driving force behind both culinary excellence and village operations. You’ll lead by example, lift standards, and ensure your team delivers an exceptional resident experience—every single day.

What You’ll Lead & Deliver: 

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality dinner service
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your kitchen and village teams
  • Build positive, professional relationships with clients and residents
  • Oversee stock control, budgeting, ordering, rostering, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ, HACCP, and Compass standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and village environment
  • Minimise waste and enhance operational efficiency
  • Support day-to-day village operations as part of your leadership responsibilities

Role Requirements

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience in large-scale or bulk catering environments
  • Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, cost control, and rostering
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and HACCP requirements
  • Current manual driver’s licence
  • Approved Managers Licence
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Previous FIFO experience is essential
