Chef - Defence

Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as Chef at Defence sites. This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working Prepare buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib lunch, or Dinner and Desserts
- Adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
- Ensure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimum
- Offer guidance and support to the kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customers
- Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business
The Person
- Strong team player with the ability to multitask in a high-paced environment
- Trade certified chef holding a minimum Cert 111 Commercial Cookery
- Experience within bulk catering/ cooking environments
- Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures & operations
- Must hold a White Card or willing to obtain
- Must have a National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
- Must be an Australian Citizen
