Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Previous experience as a chef de partie or line cook in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong background in a specific culinary area such as pastry, grill, sauté, or pantry
- Experience in working in a team-oriented environment and collaborating with other kitchen staff
- Excellent culinary skills and proficiency in a specific culinary station
- Ability to follow recipes / SOP’s accurately and consistently produce high-quality dishes
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to take direction from sous chefs and Head Chef and assist in the overall kitchen operation
- Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Ability to maintain a clean and organised work station
- Ability to collaborate with other departments such as food and beverage, banquet, and catering
