Synergie Australia is seeking experienced Chefs for a leading catering provider within the mining industry, located at various Queensland mine sites.
 

The important parts:

  • Roster: Work a rotating roster, 2 : 1
  • Pay rate: From $47 per hour + super, paid weekly
  • Start: Immediate starts available for the right candidates

What you will be required to do:

  • You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards while collaborating with a supportive team.
  • Prepare and cook high-volume meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, accommodating dietary requirements
  • Manage stock and inventory, including ordering, receiving, and rotation, while minimising waste
  • Work closely with kitchenhands, utilities, and supervisors to ensure smooth meal service
  • Support broader camp operations as required
  • Comply with all workplace health, safety, and PPE protocols

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent
  • Preferably have prior experience working on a mining site
  • Coal Board Medical and Standard 11, preferred
  • Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
  • Have a current Police Check
  • Have full Australian working rights
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance at all times
