Get to Know the Role

We are looking for an experienced Retail Buyer to manage the Fresh & Frozen product category in our quick-commerce retail business. You will be responsible for product sourcing, supplier management, pricing strategies, category development, and increasing sales growth through strategic product selection and promotions. You will be based in our Jakarta office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop merchandising strategies for Fresh & Frozen categories that align with Grab's goals, customer preferences, and market trends.
• Identify, source, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, high-quality products, reliable supply, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Analyze sales data, market demand, and customer behavior to increase product assortment, inventory management, and category performance.
• Manage vendor relationships through performance evaluations, compliance monitoring, and joint business planning.
• Coordinate with supply chain, operations, marketing, and strategic planning teams to ensure the delivery, proper handling, and execution of promotional campaigns and product launches.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3–5 years of experiences in retail buying or merchandising, specifically in Fresh & Frozen categories (Modern Trade or Supermarket/Hypermarket environment)
• Demonstrated proficiency in securing deals, commercial analysis, and partner management.
• Experience with retail business including perishable product handling, quality standards, and best sourcing practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheets.
