The bartender is responsible for all aspects of the bar area – sets up and stocks products for each shift, maintains storage areas, and cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all equipment, utensils and tools. Additionally, the bartender is responsible for crafting drinks while also multitasking and serving guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Assess customer preferences and make drink recommendations
- Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with guests
- Keeping an organized bar area to streamline drink preparation
- Checking identification to ensure all guests are of legal age to consume alcohol
- Knowing when to restrict alcohol intake for customers to avoid disruptions
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant required
- Must meet the minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Compliance with all local, state, and federal liquor laws.
- Continuous bending, reaching, twisting and use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed
- Upselling alcoholic beverage based on guests preferences
