A dynamic and knowledgeable
Barista and Mixology Chef Instructor to join our faculty team. This role is ideal for a beverage professional who excels in the craft of coffee and cocktail creation and has a passion for teaching. You will play a key role in shaping the next generation of culinary and beverage professionals by demonstrating advanced techniques, sharing industry insights, and delivering hands-on instruction in a classroom and lab setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Training
• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in barista skills, specialty coffee, mixology, beverage theory, and service etiquette.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and tasting sessions, showcasing both classic and modern techniques.
• Assess student performance through practical exams, projects, and feedback sessions.
• Mentor and guide students in both professional skills and career development.
Beverage Program Development
• Stay current with global trends in coffee and cocktail culture and integrate them into the course material.
• Collaborate with the faculty to enhance beverage-related modules in culinary and hospitality programs.
• Assist in the maintenance and upgrading of the school’s coffee lab, cocktail bar, and beverage learning spaces.
Community Engagement & Events
• Represent the school in industry events, competitions, and guest demonstrations.
• Host public workshops, masterclasses, or guest sessions for visiting students and professionals.
• Support marketing efforts by participating in media appearances, open houses, and video tutorials.
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in hospitality, Hotel Management,Culinary Arts or any recognized institutions .
• 3+ years of experience as a barista and mixologist, preferably with instructional or leadership roles.
• Formal education or certification in coffee (e.g., SCA) or mixology (e.g., WSET, BAR, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and hospitality.
• Ability to work in a collaborative academic environment.
