We’re seeking a skilled and organized Bakery Sous Chef to support the Bakery Chef in managing daily operations. This role involves hands-on baking, team supervision, and maintaining high standards of consistency and quality in all baked products.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Bakery Chef in overseeing the production of breads, viennoiseries, and other baked items.

· Lead and support bakery staff to ensure smooth shift operations.

· Monitor baking processes including mixing, proofing, and baking.

· Ensure consistency in product quality, portioning, and presentation.

· Maintain accurate inventory and assist in ordering supplies.

· Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols.

· Train junior bakers and commis in techniques and workflow.

· Take charge in the Bakery Chef’s absence and uphold all standards.



Requirements

· Minimum 4–5 years of bakery experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

· Diploma/ Bachelors Degree in Bakery, Hospitality, or a related field.

· HACCP Certified – strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety.

· Skilled in various dough techniques, fermentation, and baking methods.

· Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Passionate about artisan baking and quality control.
