What is the Job?

As Associate Director of Sales, you will be accountable for driving the hotel’s commercial performance by executing effective sales and marketing strategies. You will lead proactive sales efforts, manage key accounts, analyze market trends, and collaborate with hotel leadership to maximize revenue, profitability, and brand visibility in line with IHG Hotels & Resorts and Holiday Inn Express standards.

Your Day-to-Day

Sales Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and manage daily sales activities across corporate, group, MICE, and travel trade segments.

  • Drive sales productivity through goal setting, coaching, performance management, and talent development.

  • Ensure effective sales coverage, pipeline management, and account strategy execution.

  • Build strong internal partnerships with Revenue Management, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams.

  • Maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, vendors, and local business networks.

Guest Experience & Brand Execution

  • Deliver brand-consistent guest and client experiences aligned with Holiday Inn Express standards.

  • Promote IHG One Rewards, hotel services, and value-driven offerings to enhance guest loyalty.

  • Coordinate seamless execution of group business, VIP arrivals, and contracted accounts.

  • Ensure clear communication of group and client requirements across all hotel departments.

Revenue, Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Achieve and exceed revenue, room night, and market share targets.

  • Support development of the annual sales plan, marketing plan, and budget.

  • Drive performance across key metrics including Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and Total Revenue.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts, sales reports, and competitive market intelligence.

  • Execute sales blitzes, roadshows, networking events, and trade shows to generate new demand.

Responsible Business & Market Positioning

  • Strengthen hotel visibility within the local community and business ecosystem.

  • Promote sustainable, responsible, and environmentally conscious hotel initiatives.

  • Collaborate with advertising agencies and partners to ensure IHG brand compliance.

  • Represent the hotel and brand in external engagements, media interactions, and industry forums.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance sales efficiency and commercial performance.

What We Need From You 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 4–6 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing.

  • Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and key accounts.

  • Strong knowledge of local corporate, group, and travel trade markets.

  • Experience with revenue management concepts, forecasting, and performance analytics.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in English and local language(s); additional languages are an advantage.
