Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager
Location: Malibu, CA
Pay: $72k-$85k
About the job:
Support daily restaurant operations and help lead staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role combines hands-on service, team leadership, and operational oversight in a fine dining or resort setting.
We’re looking for someone who:

Has 4+ years of experience in restaurant or hotel management, including fine dining

Has knowledge of MICROS and OpenTable systems

Holds valid ServSafe and TIPS certifications

Can lift and carry up to 30 lbs and work on their feet throughout the shift

Has strong leadership, coaching, and customer service skills
-
Brings experience in catering, barista work, and casual dining (preferred)

Has worked in a 5-star hotel setting (a plus)
What you’ll do:

Supervise daily restaurant operations and assist during peak meal times

Ensure staff performance meets service standards and guest satisfaction goals

Coordinate banquet and catering events, including menu planning and execution

Monitor inventory, supplies, and uniforms for team readiness

Communicate with chefs and managers on food quality and service issues

Handle guest complaints and resolve issues quickly

Lead opening and closing shifts and maintain compliance with alcohol service laws
-
Coach staff and enforce Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards
