Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Oran Park, Australia. In this role, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional customer service, and a positive dining experience for our guests.

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and staff management
  • Lead and motivate the team to maintain high standards of food quality and customer service
  • Assist in training and developing crew members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, stock-take and placing orders as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Assist in managing financial aspects, including cash handling and basic bookkeeping
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient communication between front and back of house
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase sales
  • Assist in creating staff schedules and managing payroll
  • Participate in menu planning and pricing decisions
  • Organise and oversee special events or promotions

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-energy restaurant setting
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering outstanding customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in achieving and driving key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for mentoring and developing staff
  • Basic financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control
  • Food and beverage knowledge, with a passion for culinary trends
  • First Aid certification (desirable)
  • Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
